Welcome to 7th Grade!

I'm super excited to have you all in my classroom this year! On this site, you'll find information about what to expect from the upcoming year. We will use this site throughout the year to access assignment sheets, keep track of upcoming deadlines, and keep you up to date with what's going on at the school and in our classroom.

I'm Mrs. Nielson. I like dancing, swimming, singing, playing tennis, and of course reading and writing. I'm originally from Mesa, Arizona, but went to high school while living in Midway, Utah. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English Education and a minor in Digital Humanities. I believe that everyone should feel safe at school, and that feeling comfortable directly affects students' learning abilities. I feel strongly about strategically approaching reading and writing so that students come away with strategies that they can use throughout their lives. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you, and I expect to have an awesome year!
